Antwerp, Belgium – In a national and cultural celebration, the Yemeni Forum in Belgium VZW commemorated the 63rd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution and the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution at the iconic Opera Square in Antwerp.

The event was marked by high-level official attendance, led by Antwerp’s Deputy Mayor, Mr. Karim Bachar, along with several members of the city’s parliament, and the Yemeni Consul in Belgium, Mr. Loai Al-Asoudi. Belgian officials expressed their great joy and admiration at the strong turnout and engagement of the Yemeni community. They praised the beauty of the cultural and artistic performances, emphasizing the importance of such events in introducing Belgian society to Yemen’s rich history and heritage.

In his speech, Consul Al-Asoudi extended his greetings to members of the Yemeni community, stressing the importance of upholding the principles of the September 26 Revolution and calling for stronger unity and cooperation among community members for their shared benefit.

Meanwhile, the head of the forum, Engineer Waleed Al-Dahabali, commended the remarkable turnout of Yemeni community members from across Belgium, considering the success of the event a true reflection of unity and national belonging.

The celebration featured a diverse cultural and traditional program, highlighted by the “Yemeni Tent,” which showcased traditional costumes, silver crafts, and authentic Yemeni cuisine. These displays attracted significant interest from European visitors, Belgians, and members of other communities. The event reached a moving climax with the raising of the Yemeni national flag, greeted with warm applause from the audience.

The evening concluded with musical performances by artists Ayman Fahmi and Aseel Al-Jalal, who brought joy and pride to the atmosphere with renditions of authentic Yemeni songs and melodies.
