On Saturday, July 5, 2025, the Yemenis Forum VZW in Belgium concluded the youth football championship, organized with the support of the Belgian organization Bindus and under the patronage and presence of the Yemeni Consul in Belgium, Mr. Loai Al-Aswadi.
The championship began with a friendly match between the Yemeni and Syrian community teams, in which the Yemeni consul participated as a player. The match ended with a victory for the Yemeni community team.
Eng. Waleed Al-Dahbali, head of the forum, also delivered a speech thanking the consul for his continuous support and announced that the championship would mark the beginning of forming an official Yemeni community football team in Belgium.
Mr. Tawfiq Zain Al-Abidin from Talenta Plus Foundation gave a speech emphasizing the fraternal spirit of the championship and its importance in strengthening ties among Yemeni youth.
Mr. Fateh Ari, representative of the Bindus VZW, also participated in the event and expressed his appreciation to the Yemenis Forum for organizing this unique championship. He confirmed that Bindus would provide even broader support for upcoming tournaments.
The championship featured four Yemeni teams from various Belgian cities. The final results were:
- 1st place: Yemeni community team from Ghent
- 2nd place: Team*Durna
- 3rd place: Team Elizabeth
- 4th place: Team Hoboken
Awards were also given to the tournament’s top scorer
and best goalkeeper.
The championship was marked by a positive, sporty, and brotherly atmosphere enjoyed by both players and spectators alike.
